The Brewmaster
Gastón is a Peruvian brewmaster whose path blends science, entrepreneurship, and community. From launching his first brewery as a student to advising across South America, he’s spent two decades shaping craft beer in Latin America.

With a background in food science and brewing technology, Gastón sees beer as the meeting point of microbiology, chemistry, physics, and mechanics—where lab notebooks meet wrenches. His precision ensures every recipe is intentional, balanced, and brewed to last.

Rooted in Latin American food culture, Gastón draws inspiration from markets, kitchens, and shared tables. Now brewing at Silverstar Brewing in Vernon, BC, he channels that spirit into clean, expressive beers designed to bring people together.
